Description:Now a staple of the Diageo Special Release, this cask strength, 12 year old expression of Lagavulin forgoes the sherry cask influence of the 16YO and Distillers Edition in favour of a greater focus on the complexities inherent to the spirit produced at Lagavulin distillery. To that end, this whisky was matured in a combination of refill American oak casks that previously contained peated whisky and virgin American oak.
